Makeup & Beauty Haul

I was finally able to make a trip to Ulta this week and picked up some goodies!   A couple of these items are refills and the rest are brand spankin new to my collection.

Lately I have been on a mission to find an awesome pressed powder to set my foundation with...and I think I may have just found it!

The Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed Powder from Rimmel London has been absolutely amazing (sorry for the blurry pic)!  It promises to give up to 5 hours of shine control and helps to minimize the appearance of pores.  I have to say, this thing really does walk the walk.  I have been using this to set my foundation all the time and I can really achieve that "perfect" matte finish.  Love this stuff!

I was running a little low on the mascara front, so I wanted to restock on my L'Oreal Carbon Black.  This time I opted for the waterproof formula and I'm so glad that I did!

This mascara really gives me the full and thick lashes that I'm looking for, but to be honest, it can get a little clumpy, so to combat that, I thought I'd try Rimmel London's Lash Accelerator Endless!

As you know, I'm a pretty devout L'Oreal mascara fan, but I've been doing some research on the best drugstore mascaras and this one kept popping up everywhere.  I wouldn't recommend the Lash Accelerator Endless if you're looking for any type of volumizing, but what I like to use it for is to to lengthen and separate my lashes to give off a more natural look.  The wand is perfect for combing through a couple of layers of  L'Oreals Voluminous Carbon Black and really gives that extra umph I want.

Another refill was my Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in shade Medium Ash.

Apologies for the *awkward* pic, but I just couldn't get it right, but I just wanted to show you the product!  I've said before how I absolutely could not give up my addiction to this, so I was so glad to find that they had this beauty line at Ulta!  I normally get this from Sephora, but they all retail at the same prices, so it's all good!

Now for something new again!!  I picked up a pretty little gem in the form of one NYX Matte Bronzer and I'm never looking back!

I've been really curious about some other products in the NYX line because I've been loving a blush I bought from them a while ago.  I've heard a lot about their butter glosses, but they've been sold out whenever I go to Ulta!  Soooo, I came across this nice matte bronzer in the shade Deep Tan and have *shocker* been in LOVE!!  Depending on how I use it, it gives me the perfect contour or bronze look.  Very versatile stuff and awesome color payoff!

I've mentioned in previous blog posts how finding the perfect facial cleanser is really just a trial and error process- well I may have found my match.

UGH, sorry for the blurry pic again, but I think you can tell what it basically looks like.  :-)

If you're a YouTube person, I'm sure you've heard all about Philosophy's Purity Face Wash.  I have finally bitten the bullet and purchased this little guy. It's a one-step cleanser, meaning that it will clean, hydrate, and condition your skin all at the same time.  It's made with natural ingredients and leaves your face feeling like silk!  I've only been using it day and night for a few days, but I can already tell that a lot of my blemishes have calmed down.  I'll have to keep you posted, but not gonna lie- I'm pretty excited about this one!

Love.  Peace.  And buttermilk biscuits.
